Recycling at work couldn’t get any easier with EcoDepo. We can help you set up your own unique recycling station with waste categories which suit your particular situation. A common set up is a three pod station, with Pods labelled Mixed Recyclables, General Waste and Paper or Food Waste. However we can get labels made in any wording which suit your particular needs so just ask. The bins come in six different colours (black, blue, green, red, grey and yellow) and this allows clear identification of the different waste streams.

2. Hands free EcoPod with footpedal which can also be interlinked to form your unique recycling station

Our recycling bins work well in any office environment and can be used in open plan offices, canteens and kitchens.  It’s a great way to show staff that you’re serious when it comes to recycling. FREESTANDING ECODEPO
The EcoDepo Recycling bin system can be ordered singly, or in sets of two, three and four. ​Perfect for offices and warehouses.

Premium pods have a matt lid which resists marks and has noise dampeners fitted so ideal for open plan office environments.
Wall mounted Premium and freestanding pods for commercial sector. Footpedal pod is hands free option and available only with premium lid.
Wall mounted Classic pods for the home recycler or warehouse. Comes with shiny lid and no noise dampeners. Not noisy, noisy! Just more suitable for the home garage, shed, warehouse or factory and also for the budget conscious. Some colours may not be available but contact us for details.

Bags for your Pods
Colour coded waste bags increase recycling rates and encourage a greater collection of various waste streams.
  • The colour coded bags are specifically made to fit the pods. We can supply all colours in packs of 50 up to boxes of 300. 
  • The 115 litre capacity bags are designed to be reused and are strong enough to carry a maximum weight of 15 kilograms.​​

By using standard colours for recycling at home, at work and in public places, confusion of what to place where is minimised and contamination of the contents is reduced. Suggested colours when choosing our EcoPods are therefore:

Labels for your Pods

Labels help identify the correct pod for the appropriate recycled material and minimises the risk of cross contamination.

Labels are included in the price. We shall discuss with you what waste stream you require on your label prior to shipping. We supply the text in white vinyl decal format.

Current examples of labels which we have in stock include, Mixed recyclables, General waste, Paper, Cardboard, Cans, Plastic, Glass and Food Waste. Please advise us if you require anything different and we can provide a quote. Following your approval we can get these made up for an additional cost. Please contact us here for details. We can also supply labels in Te Reo Maori. 

Installing your Pods

Freestanding Pods
  1. The Ecopods are easily assembled. During transport, the stand shape may become altered – just simply widen the two top arms to provide a more secure fit.  Place the stand with the U-bar front-facing on the ground – this acts as a kick-bar.
  2. The two open arms at the top should face forward with the pod placed on top. There is a clip positioned to the right of each pod and if the pods are placed in station-like positions, they can be clipped together to secure and stabilise the units.
  3. The bags are best placed onto the two back “grabs” first and then gently pulled forward to secure with the two front “grabs”. The broad face of the bag should be positioned to the front and straightened to give a neat appearance.
  4. Please make sure that the bottom of the bag is lying amply on the floor – the floor will take the weight of the bag’s contents.
Wall Mounted Pods
  1. Remove the lid by pressing in gently at one side (where the lid joins the base) It will then slip out of its socket and two pre-drilled holes will be uncovered.
  2. Drill two holes, each 85cm from ground level and 26.5cm apart. Fix the pod to the wall with screws and rawl/wall plugs.
  3. The bags are best placed onto the two back “grabs”. The broad face of the bag should be positioned to the front and straightened to give a neat appearance.
  4. Please make sure that the bottom of the bag is lying amply on the floor – the floor will take the weight of the bag’s contents.

Fitting the bags
The bags are tailor made to fit the pods perfectly to ensure that the waste is contained safely.
​For the efficient operation of EcoDepo to be maintained, we recommend that no other bag should be used with the pods other than bags supplied by EcoPods NZ.
  • To ensure the bags fit securely, fold the top of the bag a couple of times to form a narrow band
  • Fit the bag onto the two back 'grabs' first before pulling the bag gently forward to secure onto the two front 'grabs' with the bag touching the ground
  • The face of the bag should be positioned to the front and straightened to give a neat appearance
